THE VELVET HOUR TECH RIDER

SOUND ENGINEER:
The Velvet Hour band director will have oversight and decision authority for any performance with respect to the mix & EQ settings with third party audio companies. This also includes placement of FOH speaker position.

SOUND SYSTEM:
The Velvet Hour Band performances require a professional sound reinforcement system. This system shall be in excellent working order and free of noise and distortion. All cables must be in 100% working order. The system must be adequately rated to provide sound coverage for the entire venue.

FOH MIXING CONSOLE:
Must be a minimum of 16 inputs, with 6 auxiliary sends

HOUSE LOUDSPEAKER SYSTEM:
2-way system upper line array with sub-woofers capable of supplying sufficient SPL level for indoor & outdoor venues:
- Indoor small to medium at least 100 dB at FOH
- Outdoor fair/show at least 110 dB at FOH
These are a guide that should have a minimum of:
- Sub woofers speakers supplied with 4000 watt continuous
- Main speakers supplied with 2000 watt continuous

STAGE MONITOR SYSTEM:
System should be set-up, rung out, and running prior to sound check. 6 aux mixes are required with 1000 watt each supplied floor wedges minimum, and mixed with The Velvet Hour band director oversight.

MICS / STANDS / DIRECT-BOXES / CABLES:
This must be discussed with lead engineer prior to event for when sound reinforcement is provided.

• 1ea XLR Direct Out from Bass Head
• 1ea  SM57 Beta (or better) Guitar Amp Mic
• 1ea  mono DI box for keyboard #1 running mono
• 1ea  mono DI box for keyboard #2 running mono
• 1ea mono DI box for Elect Acoustic Guitar

DRUMS
• Hi-Hat Mic: Shure Beta SM57 (or equivalent)
• Kick Drum: Shure Beta 52A Kick Drum (or equivalent)
